Skiing in Tirol, Italy in 1973 and 74

We where a several times skiing and hiking in Tirol the northern part of Italy originally belongs to Austria. This is also the only part of Italy where German is the official language. However I don't remember to much, of this vacation when we where young children.

At the time not to many people in Europe where going outside the country, for skiing I guess. The equipment used was this old style skies you had to wax all the time. Bamboo ski sticks were used and old fashion leather boots where worn. When using the lift you had to do an exciting to jump in to a moving cage of the lift.
